3 Card Poker
The American variant of the British game “Brag” is 3 Card Poker. This game started off as Primera, a fast-paced betting game with only three cards that was played against the house almost 300 years ago.
Game’s Primary Rules
When all participants have placed their bets in the ‘Ante’ box, the game begins. You can also place a bet on the ‘Pair Plus’ optional bet. Three cards will be dealt face down to each player in the game, as well as the dealer. If you believe your hand is strong enough to beat the dealer, place an equivalent amount of your original bet in the ‘Bet’ box, or fold, in which case you will lose both the original and optional bets. To qualify, the dealer must have a ‘Queen’ high or better. If the dealer qualifies, the player’s hand is compared to the dealer’s hand, and the player with the higher hand wins.

When you hold a Pair or above, the Pair Plus bet wins regardless of the dealer’s hand, and the rewards are as follows:
- Mini Royal – 50 to 1
- Straight Flush – 40 to 1
- 3 of a kind – 30 to 1
- Straight – 6 to 1
- Flush – 3 to 1
- Pair – 1 to 1
- Mini Royal – 5 to 1 | Straight Flush – 4 to 1
- 3 of a kind – 3 to 1 | Straight – 1 to 1
